Corner View "The Great Outdoors" Ohio

The outdoors to us is so many things, this post could have gone on forever. Here are some of the things the great outdoors has been to us in the last couple of days.

Learning and nature journaling.

Looking under a stone and finding a worm tied up in a knot.

Observing nature through binoculars.

Making and sharing wild edible pesto with your sister.

And your sister loving the pesto!

Spotting creatures of the six-legged variety that have just hatched from their egg sac.

And most importantly the great outdoors is time to just play.

Sorry for another late night post....the days have been too nice to be inside pecking away at the computer. The next post is how to make a toad house from plastic pots.

  27. I agree on all accounts. Kids should be outdoors and we LOVE worms. We also like frogs and spiders and slugs and buzzing bumblebees and a bunch of other creepy crawlies. Have you read the book Last Child in the Woods? I posted a short review on our adventure/outdoors blog.
