Happy Thanksgiving to my USA friends and family! So busy cooking, eating, birthday partying and setting up for a weekend LOOOOONG craft fair! Did you notice the turkey is tossing a salad? That’s our kind of vegetarian Thanksgiving!

I tried making peppermint cookies a few years ago. They were very festive to look at- dark chocolate cookies with pieces of candy cane spread throughout; but they tasted TERRIBLE! The peppermint flavor was way off and I blame the peppermint extract I used. This year I am making my own......READ MORE.

We made herbal candy (medicinal drops) for the first time last week. Little bit challenging I must admit, but fun and tasty! Our candy was basically a peppermint candy with a bit of beebalm, thyme, and sage added for a cold fighting punch......READ MORE for the recipe.

We have been collecting and pressing Autumn leaves all season, we just can’t resist those pretty colors! Part of our nature study is learning the names of the trees, especially the ones in our yard (I quiz my little ladies, husband and sisters all the time, poor things). I came up with a card deck to help the little ladies learn and identify the leaves in a fun way. READ MORE to learn how.

On our Williamsburg trip, my granny (that’s great granny to the little ladies), bought the girls each a white feather quill pen. The timing was great because I have been wanting to make a lavender/rosemary scented ink. This was a wonderful herbal activity leaving the house smelling great! READ MORE........

We spent the past weekend in Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia. I went down with my sisters and the little ladies (ugh, 10 hours in the backseat with the little ladies). We met up with my grandparents, my dad, and his wife Kay. We had a great time.....READ MORE.
