We caught the germ of happiness today while on a new growth scavenger hunt. I don't think we will be recuperating anytime soon! :)

  3. I noticed the red pine too. Ours are more red but few are that beautiful purple like in your picture.

    I love gingko nuts and that is one of my favorite shaped leaves. We cook and eat them.

    Are the "airplanes" maple? We like playing with them. :)

    I'll have to post some picture of some trees as I have no idea what they are even though I bought them. *sheepish grin*

  5. I have a buckeye in my front yard near the road. The city planted it there. It took me a few years to figure out what it was. Last summer was the first time it had buckeyes.
    Your photos are so lovely. I'm so happy it's spring!

  11. Super Fun, yes we do. We are on a dead end street, the lots on the street each have 5 acres (former farmland). Lots of rolling farmland still around here and a couple patches of woodlands. It's very lovely.

    No, I grew up in Western New York. I went to art school in Cols and was there about 7 years. My husband went to the same art school, we loved it there. My dh proposed in Deaf Park, we have such fond memories.
