Corner View Ohio- Back Window View

Here is our backyard view from afar. We have a little woodland at the edge of our property line, a field which we are giving back to nature to do as she pleases, and a few wild areas where elder and many other plants are growing wild.

My hubby mows trails weekly so we can explore the field in a little more comfortable manner.

Here are some closer views of the plants in our backyard:

Grapevine

Clover
Blackberry

Daisy Fleabane

Poison Ivy, this one we could live without!

Another common backyard view!

Love that view!
We too steward a piece of earth that is returning to Nature, though we don't have paths yet, gotta get on that.

BTW, we could live without the poison ivy as well, but the birds really love the berries.

How lovely! No wonder your girls love the outdoors so much! I think I would spend every moment outside myself if we lived on the edge of the forest.

So lovely! Question: do you have a problem with Japanese beetles devouring your grapevine? My mom's has the most adorable little grapes on it right now, but we know in just a few weeks the whole thing will look like brown lace. :(

We have a lot of poison ivy here, too.

That is so neat about mowing the trails - our backyard is a protected wetland so we can't hardly do that - we just have to wear waders to explore...

PS - I love the new banner...

what heaven. Do you know yet if you will have to move?

Lisa said...

Kyndale, no we don't know about moving yet; but the thought of leaving this plot of land brings tears to my eyes....and the fact that I grew up here as well.
