Cornerview Ohio- Street Fashion

Last week while having coffee with my sister Katrina, I sooooo wanted to snap a pic of a teenage boy in red high top converse sneakers, green shorts and a bright orange ball cap; but missed the perfect opportunity. Bummer, it would have been a good one. Here is a tribute, from our Converse collection, to that teenage boy; I wish we had red ones!

So I don't have any street fashion for you but I do have little girl fashion! Fauna (almost 8) is finding an interest in designing and making her own clothing right now. She made these wrist warmers over the weekend. She made them on her own, without any help from me.

Fauna is my dress girl and usually prefers her hair in a ponytail; with "wispy hair pieces" framing her face.

Araina doesn't care very much about fashion. She prefers t-shirts and whatever skirt or shorts she can find on her bedroom floor!

She will wear a "shirt and a skirt" but doesn't like dresses. Getting her into a dress requires some bribery.

She usually prefers braids and takes great pride in being a blonde. HA! Last year Fauna said, "Araina I see some brown in your blonde!" Araina was furious with this comment; wow, blonde pride starts early doesn't it?

I guess she does have a sense of style, she picked out this outfit for a contest that my mom persuaded her to be in. All the little girls had on girly dresses, but not my Araina. She didn't win the contest but she was an audience favorite!

personally, i never liked wearing converse, but today we had to go get new shoes for both kids, and all my son wanted was a pair of converse - his first. he nearly kissed my feet when i said yes :)

The wrist warmers were very clever! My teenager has some of those that she spent good money for.

  12. Yeah, I don't know what is up with Ohio.. had I gone into the city I'm sure I could have found some more interesting street style. But, on my corner there is nothing going on but a jogger or two occasionally running by in sweat shorts and a tank.. yawn.

I love my converse but they kill my feet! Your girls are just the cutest.. love that they have their own unique styles. :)
