Another Araina Ditty!

Balancing, balancing on a stone,

Don't fall off or you'll break a bone!

Balancing, balancing, I see a bird,

Shh! Be quiet don't say a word!

Balancing, balancing as steady as can be,

Oh, I see a Fauna looking at a tree!

Araina came up with this ditty while balancing on my sisters' stone wall. No kidding, Araina sings and talks in rhyme all of the time. She just can't help herself! See what a pack mule Fauna is? She carries that bag full of her favorite books, watercolor pencils, flower press and journal everywhere she goes! Ohhh, she is such a mini-me!

Lovely ditty! I think that it's great you write these down. Children come up with the best ditties... :)

Christine, how sweet the poems would be if they could compose them together.

Thanks Sherry and T family. I love documenting her poems. The family likes to see them too! ;)

That's so cute! I love the series of Araina photos. I also think it's interesting the things that Fauna takes with her everywhere. Elizabeth's never-leave-without-bag always has a Sigg bottle of water and her sketchbook/pencils. Funny. :)

Joy, that's hilarious....fauna also carries her sigg bottle with her. We are always waiting on her to fill that darn bottle when we are trying to get out the door!

What a lovely sequence of photos to go with a darling poem! It's wonderful that you are documenting it in such a delightful way.

I´m smiling... when sara was younger she would carry all her books in a plastic bag and take them with her everywhere. we used to call her the bag lady... and now, at 15, she has more handbags than me...:)

Your girls are so adorable. I've been finding myself pinching off flowers while I'm out during the day so I can put them in my flower press (with your instructions!). I've got lots of pansies as well as some purple salvia, daisies, and pretty leaves from the garden.

Thanks again for your comments. Your blog is my favorite to read and I love doing the projects you put up!

Hey that's my kind of family -- we are all about spontaneous ditties! All my kids sing silly little made up songs. We have some poetry going on today. Stop by if you get a chance!

Super sweet photos and verses! Your daughters are talented and lovely. Also loving the lace plus heart necklace and that ready-for-anything knapsack.

Karen, my mom made that choker years ago for me and Araina loves anything "vintage." She also keeps thyme in the locket hoping to see fairies.

Thanks for the nice comments everybody. We are a family of ditty singers, even my hubby makes up ditties all of the time; now Fauna on the other hand is the odd one out. She doesn't care for it and we embarass her often.

Lisa :)
